Pink Ribbon Pasta for Breast Cancer Awareness

Pink Ribbon Pasta for Breast Cancer Awareness | funpastafundraising.com

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. This is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness, our featured product this month is our Pink Ribbon Pasta! This pasta is shaped like ribbons and made of semolina flour. We use all natural beet powder to color our pink ribbons. 10% of the proceeds  from the sales of our Pink Ribbon Pasta support Research, Education, Screening, and Treatment of Breast Cancer.

While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States (other than skin cancer).

In 2015, it is estimated that among U.S. women there will be:

  •  231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer
  •  40,290 breast cancer deaths

About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. However millions of women are surviving the disease thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment. Organizations like American Cancer Society  and Susan G. Komen are actively fighting breast cancer by helping women get tested to find breast cancer earlier, and helping them understand their treatment options and cope with the physical and emotional side effects. They also fund research to help prevent, find, and treat breast cancer.

We love a fundraising product that gives back. So you can feel good selling Fun Pasta because you will supporting a cause close to all of our hearts. Join the conversation. Selling Pink Ribbon Pasta gives you an opportunity to share information and awareness about breast cancer over a casual dinner or in conversation with your friends. We are all working together to find a cure.

In honor of Grandma Peg who lost her fight to breast cancer.
