Fundraising Groups WIN with a TEAM Approach

Fundraising Groups WIN with a TEAM approach.| funpastafundraising.com

There is no “I” in “TEAM”. Prevent volunteer burnout in your Fundraising Groups using a TEAM approach.

team approach to fundraising groups builds momentum and excitement- minimizing stress and maximizing results. Teams are successful because everyone becomes responsible for the team’s success. You’ve heard the expressions, “No man is an island” and “Many hands make light work”. Do not try to do this all on your own!

Goals + Teamwork =  Success

Keep your group on track for success by building a team of volunteers to help. Avoid burnout by assembling the right team with plenty of volunteers. You want to ensure that your volunteers have fun and are not overwhelmed with too much on any one plate. A good experience will ensure their participation in future campaigns. Do you have future fundraisers in mind? Keep fun at the forefront with a team approach to fundraising for optimal results.

So how do you do this?

  • Find two or three capable and willing friends, co-workers or parents to help. When recruiting volunteers, consider the skill sets of your team members and divide the work load accordingly. Is one good on the computer? Is one great at sending and keeping up with emails? Is one experienced at social media?

  • Identify the strengths of each member of your team and assign tasks that are aligned with those strengths. Not only will your team members have more fun, you will also be more productive and likely to achieve success at reaching your fundraising goals. Remember…the coach of a winning team is only as good as the players recruited. A skilled team of individuals with a common vision working together will reach a shared goal.
  • Include the kids as part of the team! The kids will love rolling up their sleeves and working with you. Listen to their ideas.  When they feel invested in the process, they will perform better.  Tap into their endless supply of energy and unlimited enthusiasm. It’s contagious!
